The Journey

This is a journey for the soul, an exploration of your inner spirit. It will bring you closer to nature and help you find that inspiration so lost in our busy urban lives. This journey can be a reconnection with your family and friends in this magical place. This journey can be whatever you want it to be in this timeless place.

The Experience

We travel by vehicle over our mountain farm taking the route of the herdsmen of long ago to bring their cattle to the mountain for the winter. We will tell you about our life and how we farm in the Burren and focus on whatever aspects of this land that interests you, flowers, wildlife, history, archaeology, farming, folklore etc

We stop many times to examine relics of mountain life thousands of years ago, such as forts, turf tiles, and magnificent examples of dry-stone walls. We encourage our guests to walk on the limestone paving, smell the magnificent flowers, examine the ancient relics and stand on the cliff edge.

During these stops many extras can be added to enhance and make this experience your own. These include:

Sampling local food and drink
A picnic at the mountain top
A short walk across the limestone paving
A visit to an ancient cairn (burial site)
Entertainment at the amphitheatre at the mountain top such as traditional singing or traditional music.
