Driving Tour – 90 minute

driving tour of burren mountainsDrive with us over our mountain farm taking the route of the herdsmen of long ago to bring their cattle to the mountain for the winter.  The track is over 6 miles long rising to heights 1,000ft (300m) above sea level. We will tell you about our life and how we farm in the Burren.

The views of the Clare coastline along the Wild Atlantic Way are breadth taking and we will stop as many times as you wish to take photos.

Travelling inland towards the centre of the mountain you will observe the vast expanse of limestone paving.  There are relics everywhere of mountain life thousands of years ago, such as forts, turf tiles, and magnificent examples of stone walls.


Experience the magic of this unique Burren landscape as you have the entire Karst mountain to yourself.

Walking Tour – 120 minutes

driving and walking tours of the burren mountain co. clareWe drive to the top of the mountain and then accompany you on a walk along a 4 mile track at the top of the mountain.

This is a relatively flat surface.  Get close to the natural beauty of the Burren and spend some time examining the limestone paving and the exotic flora of the Burren.   The views of the Clare coastline along the Wild Atlantic Way are breadth taking.

Walking inland towards the centre of the mountain you can walk across the magnificent limestone paving and examine the relics of mountain life thousands of years ago, such as forts, turf tiles, and magnificent stone walls.

As we walk we will tell you about our life and how we farm this mountain. 

Picnic Tour – 120 minutes

Enjoy amazing views of the Atlantic Coastline and Galway Bay while having lunch.

Sunset Tour – 90 minutes

Sunset in FanoreIn the evening, drive with us over our mountain farm taking the route of the herdsmen of long ago to bring their cattle to the mountain for the winter.  The track is over 6 miles long rising to heights 1,000ft (300m) above sea level.

The views of the Clare coastline along the Wild Atlantic Way are breadth taking and we will stop as many times as you wish to take photos.

It is a spectacular sight to see the lights of the Galway city across the bay as we travel above the Wild Atlantic Coastline of Clare.

We stop and watch the sun descend into the Atlantic Ocean horizon on the edge of Galway Bay.

After sunset we will travel inland towards the centre of the mountain where you will observe the vast expanse of limestone paving.  There are relics everywhere of mountain life thousands of years ago, such as forts, turf tiles, and magnificent stone walls. Along the route we will tell you about life and farming in the Burren.

This is a wonderful opportunity to watch the Sun go down over Galway Bay.
